Congratulations on finishing your first week of college!!! I know it must be a relief. I’ve had the chance to meet with many of you this week, and have to say that you are truly an impressive group. I’m excited to see all that you do while you’re at Notre Dame. I hope you have a fantastic weekend and enjoy this lovely weather. Hopefully it stays this way for a while!
Just a few items of note:
- The last day for schedule changes is next Tuesday. I’ll hold walk in hours on Monday and Tuesday from 9-11:30 and 1:30-4:30 for anyone who wants to discuss changes. At this point, though, you should have settled in to your courses and we only like to make changes next week for really significant problems.
- Every year, someone emails me over the weekend asking if I’m in my office. I figured I’d preempt that this year and let you know that, with the exception of Orientation Weekend, I generally do not work on weekends. If you need me, you can certainly email me, but there’s a decent chance I won’t respond until Monday. I just don’t want you to be surprised if I don’t get right back to you over the weekend.
Thanks again for being such a dynamic group. I’ve had a lot of fun working with you already and am looking forward to the rest of the year. If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, make it out to the soccer stadium. The Notre Dame Men’s team is playing Indiana at 7:30 on Saturday night. Also, the Volleyball team is at home this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday. I’m sure they’d love your support.
